Welcome to the new webpage for the Kooikerhondje Society of America. We are a non-profit club made up of members from all corners of the United States, as well as Canada.
On this website you will find information about this rare versatile breed that originates from the Netherlands. With only a handful of owners and breeders across the country, the Kooikerhondje (pronnounced coy-ker-hund-yeh) is listed in the Foundation Stock Service (FSS) with the American Kennel Club, and on its way to achieving full recognition. Currently the Kookierhondje is approved to compete in AKC companion events.
